Rather then having a much longer discussion about what a ghost is, I would like you to consider the concept of 'energetic presence' in all its diversity.  There are many different types of energies bouncing around in this universe, every bit as diverse as us humans living on earth.  You can expect the same diversity that you experience in daily human behavior with any 'energetic presence' that you may sense.

Additionally the concept of being possessed by a devil or being 'all bad' (evil) is not something that is very likely. Light and dark exist together and we have a great deal in deciding what energy we allow to effect us and how that energy will effect us.
