Letting Go

The eclipse season has seemed to shine a mammoth sized floodlight on the concept of Letting Go and loosing expectations with the ones we love.  As this concept inevitably arises in life we tend to panic and project deeply-seeded unconscious fears onto the other person, when in reality we should be accepting and supportive of their needs.  The choices people make may not make us happy but that does not mean they are making poor choices.  Every human being has the right to their own journey.

Often times we begin to judge or interject with our life-earned wisdom, but if we are being honest we understand that wisdom came from traveling our own road.  So why is it that we feel driven to interfere with that same process for someone else?  The answer is control.  Our ego's desire to have what we 'want' is so great and any threat activates our most primal inner fears convincing us we are flawed, rejected, abandoned and damaged.  It is the illusion of the ego only.

What if we try something different. What if we walk head first into our fears and embrace them.  Instead of allowing our unconscious fear to run our lives we decide to consciously let go of all expectation and trust that the Universe has a plan.   By letting go and supporting others on their journey we just might find that we welcome a whole new wealth of experience and freedom into our own lives as well as the people we love.

Mid-Year Horoscopes
